Field Trip : McKays Used Bookstore

I joke that McKay's Used Bookstore is my second home because somehow I find myself there quite often. I like that I can sell/trade books (and DVDs and puzzles and board games) and receive store credit to buy more books. I have a strategy for finding hidden gems: namely, go often. Haha, but seriously, they get new inventory hourly! I check out the "classic" section first, then the children's picture books, then the youth homeschool area. I also make a point to clean out our shelves at home for books we've read and don't need to keep, any games or DVDs we don't want anymore etc. And there's always thrifting books first and re-selling to McKays, but that can be a little harebrained.

Every year McKays hosts a homeschool day. This year it's on November 2nd from 10am-1pm and the theme is art & music. They have activities, games, and prizes!
